What is a Registrant ?

A Registrant is an individual or group (business, charity ... anyone) who wants to own (or does own) a domain name. The Registrant buys the Domain Name from the Registry through the Registrar. Registrant's have various Rights and Responsibilities as defined by ICANN, a summery can be found here.
